Cynergy Ergonomics Case Study
Cynergy Ergonomics provides a variety of panel lifters, sheet lifters and sheet metal handling devices that can pitch the panel or sheet up to 180 degrees, rotate 360 degrees and handle sheets up to 40 feet long that weigh over 3000 pounds.
REQUIREMENT:
During the cooler manufacturing process, counter tops go
through a foam injection insulation process. After the foam
is injected, the countertops need to be lifted and pitched
180° for cleaning and inspection, then pitched back 90° or
180° for installation (depending upon model of cooler). These
panels can range up to 12 feet long and weigh over 200
pounds. This process was being performed manually with both
risk of operator injuries and damage to the product.
SOLUTION:
A vacuum handling system was provided with a simple jib crane and hoist system. The panel lifters are designed to lift and pitch the panel, sheet or sheet metal to any desired position up to 180˚.
